Our Founder, Devika, got inspired by a phrase she heard a lot when she lived in New Zealand: Kia Ora (read: Kee-or-ra).
It is a word of Māori (the indigenous people of New Zealand) to greet and cheer each other. In literal, Ora refers to 'being alive' or 'state of living', while Kia changes it from a noun to a verb, so rather than 'alive' it is 'living'.
When we say Kia Ora to someone, we are wishing them to be living, well and healthy. Saying this, we are hoping that Keyoura can be the Key to Your Healthy Skin.
Our logo was inspired by Batik Grompol, a kind of traditional fabric of Indonesia originated from the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Batik Grompol represents unity of good things, and has been worn generation after generation with the hopes that the ones wearing it would experience all the goodness in life, such as happiness, peace, and prosperity.
We also believe that the circles in Batik Grompol symbolise a loop of never ending growth and luck.
